This screenshot proves misinformation.

The Thayawady 8 City media has been spreading false information, claiming that the Bawbin Dam in Zigon Township, Bago Region, was drained due to heavy rain and that this caused flooding. This claim is untrue.
An official from the relevant irrigation department has stated that the dam has not been drained. If the dam were to overflow or require breaching, authorities would be informed immediately. A notification would then be issued, and residents would be evacuated as a safety measure. The official added that such procedures cannot be undertaken independently. The news was deliberately fabricated to mislead the public and tarnish the government’s reputation. — MNA/TRKM
