Subversive media falsely claimed that security forces burnt down 23 houses in Koyint Village, Yesakyo Township, Magway Region, on 6 August.
In reality, on 6 August, PDF terrorists arrived in Koyint Village and demanded K100,000 per household from villagers to purchase weapons. Residents reported this to security forces, who came to perform their duties. PDF terrorists began shooting, leading to clashes. As they retreated, terrorists set fire to the village houses, according to a security official.
The subversive media is reportedly spreading propaganda to mislead the public with biased accusations and misinformation, obscuring the true nature of PDF terrorists’ actions, which include burning residential houses and extorting money from locals. — MNA/TKO
