Fam Trip for Thai visitors launched in Magway Region

The Directorate of Hotels and Tourism (Magway Region) launched a Fam Trip for Thai tourists to introduce the tourism market in the region, according to U Zaw Lwin Htet, director of the department.
The Fam Trip was made for the Bangkok-Yangon-Magway-Minbu-Yenangyaung-Yangon-Bangkok route in July.
“We invited a three-member Thai group including Ms Petchsri Nonsiri for Fam Trip in Magway Region aiming to create a tourism market and attract more Thai visitors. We arranged Bangkok-Yangon-Magway-Minbu-Pwintbyu-Minbu-Minhla-Yenangaung-Yangon-Bangok trip between 28 and 31 July,” he said.
On the first day of the trip, they visited Magway Mula Myathalun Pagoda, the night market at Strand Road and Kankar Lake while Minbu Shwesettaw, Minbu Ngapwattaung and Setkainte Pagoda on the second day and also enjoyed canoe rowing in Mann creek, fed elephants, star tortoises and gold deer.
On the third day, they observed the Minhla fort and Kway Chaung fort and bought the local products. On the fourth day, they proceeded to stone inscription chambers, colonial buildings, Gyatkya in Yenangyaung and studied the lifestyle of locals.
Thai tourists who participated in the three nights four days package tour enjoyed the tour and they will share their experiences with their friends and travel agents in Thailand. — ASH/KTZH
