Famous pagodas in Yangon alive with pilgrims on fullmoon of Tazaungmon

Famous pagodas in Yangon including the great Shwedagon Pagoda, Botahtaung Pagoda and Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Pagoda, were alive with devotees on the fullmoon of Tazaungmon.
The fullmoon ceremony (Samaññaphala Day) organized by the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees was held in the terrace of the pagoda yesterday morning. Members of the pagoda board of trustees offered golden lotus robes to the Buddha images located at the pavilions of the Shwedagon Pagoda, and religious associations and staff offered alms, lighting, flowers, water, and fruits to the Buddha images. In the evening, members of the pagoda board of trustees and staff lit oil lamps around the stupa.
Members of the Botahtaung Pagoda also organized the reciting ceremony of Samaññaphala Sutta yesterday morning and offered offertories to the Buddha and shared good deeds. At the ceremony, the audience paid homage to the Buddha Image, took Five Precepts, recited the background information of the Samaññaphala Day, the fullmoon of Tazaungmon, and shared good deeds.
At the ceremony held at Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Pagoda yesterday morning, members of the pagoda board of trustees and religious associations, and staff took Nine Precepts from Vice-Chair of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dhaja Dhammabhandagarika Bhaddanta Aggadhamma. Afterwards, members of the pagoda trustees offered offertories to Sayadaws and senior monks who were present at the ceremony, and donors offered robes to the Buddha Images in the pagoda.
The 26th Buddha Pujaniya Buddha Abhiseka Consecration Ceremony of the Tooth Relic Pagoda was held yesterday morning in the pagoda compound. Vice-Chair of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dhaja and Ovadacariya Sayadaw consecrated the Tooth Relic Pagoda.
Members of the Pagoda Board of Trustees offered golden lotus robes to nine Buddha images in the compound of the Tooth Relic Pagoda. In the evening, oil lights were offered to surround the square of the pagoda.
The fullmoon of Tazaungmon was also celebrated day and night at Mei Lamu Pagoda, Lawka Chantha Abhaya Labha Muni Buddha Image, Apara Zita Santawshin Kyaikwyne Pagoda and other pagodas across the city yesterday.
