FDA announces 48 cosmetics unsuitable for use

Food and Drug Administration released a list of 48 cosmetics that are unsuitable for use.

It said the 48 cosmetics are found being unregistered products as well as containing harmful chemical substances that are prohibited in ASEAN region under the Post-Marketing Alert System (PMAS) report.

Of these 48 unsafe cosmetic products,  Labskin ACTIVEWHITE white Cream Secret Recipe, Labskin White Cream Secret, U Nice, Polla Anti-Melasma Cream,MEYYONG RA, LADY GOLD, MS GOLW, Desha Night Cream(Moisturizer) (NA) are included. Prohibited chemical substances cause skin irritation, swollen, rash and numbness, muscle shaking, fatigue, headache and depression from soaking into body from skin, as well as kidney failure and other diseases for long-term use.

Cosmetic distributors, retailers and wholesalers should ethically not distribute and sell products that are made public being unregistered and not suitable for using and if they fail, respective authority would take actions under section 3, chapter 3 (d) of the Public Health Law, FDA warned. – MT/ZS
