Final day of 28th Myanmar military medical conference held

The third day of the 28th Myanmar Military Medical Conference was held at the No (2) Military Orthopaedic Hospital (500-bed) in Mingaladon and No (2) Military Hospital (1,000 bedded) in Nay Pyi Taw through videoconferencing yesterday.
Chairman of the Tatmadaw Medical Research and Development Committee, Director of Medical Services Brig-Gen Ko Ko Lwin, Senior Military Officials, medical specialists, medics and nurses, international medical experts from Singapore, Laos, Thailand and the Philippines, invitees and interested persons attended the conference.
A total of 674 medical workers from other Tatmadaw hospitals and medical corps also joined the conference via the internet from 162 places.
At the conference, the topics “Update on Management of Cervical Cancer”, “Digital Dentistry”, “Brain and Cognition”, “E-learning: Meeting the Challenges”, “Therapy of Hepatitis B: Today and Tomorrow”, “Septicaemia: Challenges for Physician” and “Better Balance for Secure Movement” were discussed as symposium and six “Special Talks” were held. Besides, a total of 16 research papers on Medicine, Mental Health and Biochemistry were submitted at the event. After announcing the first, second and third place winners for the best research paper and poster awards and Young Researcher Award, the Director Brig-Gen Ko Ko Lwin concluded the conference. — MNA
