Daw Thet Nandar Soe, the owner of “7 Top” fish cracker business, said, “We have been doing this business for over 30 years, and there was a lot of loss when the fish crackers were traditionally made due to the dust and bird droppings since they were dried in the sun outside of the house.” She added the labour safety and fresh crackers free of dust and dirt when processing the fish crackers with the solar dryers.
The fish crackers, also known as Rakhine Papara, are fried in oil and eaten as delicious food with tea or coffee and sold across the country. — Tin Tun Oo, Phyo Wai Lin (Translated by Ei Phyu Phyu Aung)
