Five electro-diesel locomotives arrives

Five electro-diesel locomotives with 2000 HP purchased from China arrived at Thilawa Port on 1st May and are unloaded from ship on 6th May.
A total of 22 locomotives have been ordered from the company and seven firstly arrived. Those locomotives are running No 5 up train and No 6 down train on Yangon-Mandalay Railway line and No.71 up train and No 72 down train on Yangon-Pyi Railway line.
The recently arrived locomotives are designated to operate through both high land and flat land. They will also be used in necessary part of Myanma Railway Line.
The remaining ten will be installed at Nay Pyi Taw train engine factory, it is learnt. —Tin Soe (Myanma Alinn)
