Officials and staff from Myanmar Agro Exchange Public Co Ltd, Creative Dynasty Investment Co Ltd (CDI), Future Vest Star Group Co Ltd (FVS) and shop owners from the Danyingon Market donated foodstuffs to 645 families who suffered flood in villages of Ayeyawady Region’s Nyaungdon Township and Zalun Township, where vendors from the market have been living, on the morning of 26 July, according to MAEX.
Basic foodstuffs, purified drinking water and clothes were donated to 300 families at Ngwethaungyan village, 80 families at Kyaunggyisu village, 80 families at upper Shwehintha village, 120 families at middle Shwehintha village in Nyaungdon Township and 65 families at Seintalone village in Zalun Township.
Recently, floods have been happening in some areas due to heavy rain and river floods. Departmental officials and social relief associations have carried out help and rescue works. — MT/ZS/ED
