On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, I have the honour of extend my warmest felicitations and best wishes to Your Excellency and, through Your Excellency, to all the Myanmar people for the continued progress and prosperity of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and her people.
As Myanmar and Thailand are celebrating our 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations in 2018 in which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon are planning a number of activities such as commemorative reception, academic seminars, exchange of cultural troupes and so on. I look forward to working closely with Your Excellency to celebrate this auspicious occasion together for the closer ties between our two countries and peoples.
I also wish to reiterate that Thailand will stand side by side with Myanmar, our “natural strategic partner”, to ensure peace, stability and prosperity of our two countries and peoples in the years to come.
