From H.E Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen Ferderal President of the Republic of the Austria
Excellency,

On the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of the Republic of the union of Myanmar I take great pleasure in conveying to you my warmest congratulations.
I seize this opportunity to extend my best wishes for a happy future of the people of Myanmar.

From Mr.Emmanuel Macron
President of the French Republic
Excellency, Mister President,

As the Republic of the Union of Myanmar celebrates the 70th anniversary of its independence, it is my pleasure to extend my warmest greetings to the Myanmar people and to you.
As you know, France resolutely supports the efforts of the Myanmar civilian government to promote peace and reconciliation, as well as the democratic transition of your country in a context which I know is difficult. Dramatic events have scarred the past year.
France is extremely concerned by the violence and forced displacement of the civilian populations of Rakhine State. Faced with this serious situation, France calls on the Myanmar security forces to put an end to violence and discrimination in Rakhine State, and to allow full, safe and unfettered humanitarian access to the civilian populations in need.
I hope that this new year will bring decisive progress towards peace reconciliation and development for your country, especially in areas where conflicts and violence persist. Your commitment to work towards the restoration of humanitarian access, reconstruction, reconciliation and the return of the rule of law, as part of the establishment of the advisory board on Rakhine in charge of monitoring the full implementation of the recommendations on Rakhine State made by the Advisory Commision on Rakhine State chaired by Mr. Kofi Annan, should contribute to this task.
Please rest assured of the deep friendship of the French people for the people of Myanmar and the resolute support of France in the implementation of the democratic process. We stand alongside Myanmar to contribute concretely and actively to its development and openness to the world.
Please accept, Excellency, Mister President, the assurances of my highest consideration.

From His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’ izzadin Waddaulah
Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam
Your Excellency,

I am pleased to send my warmest congratulations to you and to the Government and people of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on your 70th Independence Day.
As we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, I very much look forward to enhancing the valuable friendship and cooperation that we enjoy as close bilateral and regional partners, especially through our work in ASEAN.

From Mr. Sergio Mattarella
President of the Italian Republic
Your Excellency,

The celebrations of the National Day offer me the welcome opportunity to convey to You, on behalf of the Italian people and on my personal behalf, my wishes of prosperity and peace for Myanmar and all its inhabitants.
Nay Pyi Taw and Rome are bound by strong ties of friendship that foster the dialogue between our countries. In this framework, these relations can further develop both on bilateral and regional and multilateral level, also to the benefit of the achievement of the goals of economic progress and harmonious social coexistence that the Union of Myanmar has set.
I renew my best wishes of well-being for You and for the friend people of Myanmar.
