Foreign Ministers’ Meeting for the 7th CLMV Summit and 6th ACMECS Summit held

Nay Pyi Taw, 22 June —The Foreign Ministers’ Meeting for the 7th CLMV Summit was held in Nay Pyi Taw, MICC-1 on 22 June 2015 with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the Foreign Minister from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Deputy Foreign Ministers from the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
The meeting was chaired by Union Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin and the Draft Provisional Agenda of the CLMV Summit, and Draft Joint Statement of the CLMV Summit were discussed to be submitted to the Summit. The Ministers also discussed and exchanged views on the economic cooperation among CLMV countries, trade and investments cooperation and development plans and financial assistance from international partners.
The Foreign Ministers’ meeting for the 6th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy Summit was held in Nay Pyi Taw, MICC-1 on 22nd June 2015 with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar,  Deputy Foreign Ministers from the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
The meeting was chaired by Union Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin and ministers have exchanged views on ACMECS cooperation and future direction.
The member countries discussed the drafts of Nay Pyi Taw Declaration and Ayeyawady-Chao-Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy Plan of Action (2016-2018).MNA
