Free medical care given at Thandwe People’s Hospital

A medical team led by professors and specialists are providing free medical services at Thandwe People’s Hospital from 23 to 25 October 2018.
The free treatment project was jointly conducted by the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Rakhine State Government. The medical team comprising of 30 professors, surgeons and doctors from Yangon Region and 30 staff from Rakhine State Public Health Department performed the free medical care.
The medicines and medical equipment were supported and provided by Rakhine State Government. On 23 October, about 1,500 patients received free medical treatment. Zee Kyaung Thar Construction Company also provided lunch boxes to the patients, said Dr. Kyaw Naing Win, Superintendent of Thandwe District People’s Hospital.
Rakhine State Social Affairs Minister Dr. Chan Thar visited and encouraged the patients while the free treatment were conducted.
