Friendly matches to be held for preliminary player selection for AFF Cup

A friendly match will be held to select the Myanmar preliminary players to compete in the upcoming AFF Cup 2022.
The test matches will be held on 19, 21, and 23 November and four teams will compete in a round-robin format.
The Myanmar national team head coach Antoine Hey has selected 44 talented players from the MNL competition, a domestic league competition, and these players have been divided into three teams.
From the preliminary 44 players selected for the national team, 25 players who can perform well will be re-selected and will combine with those who play in foreign clubs, and will train in the camp for the next AFF Cup tournament.
The Myanmar national team will start training on 18 November and will travel to Thailand for training from 28 November to 12 December.
The Myanmar national team will play friendly matches against Thai clubs, including the Thai national team, during their trip to Thailand.
The Preliminary squad named Yellow Team includes head coach Karmel Harlad, goalkeeper Kyaw Zin Phyo (Shan United), defenders Hein Zayyar Lin (Yangon), Wai Yan Oo (Myawady), Ye Min Thu (Shan United), Kyaw Zin Lwin (Shan United), Midfielders Ye Lin Htet (Hanthawady), Aung Naing Win (Ayeyawady), Lin Htet Soe (ISPE), Yan Naing Oo (Yangon), Strikers Naing Zin Htet (Myawady), Yar Zar Aung (Ayeyawady) and reserve players Thet Paing Ko (Myawady) Thet Naing (Yadanabon), Khin Kyaw Win (ISPE), and Nay Moe Naing (Hanthawady).
Meanwhile, the Green Myanmar team includes head coach U Kyi Lwin, Goal Keeper Tun Nanda Oo (Myawady), defenders Zaw Ye Tun (Yadanabon), Thiha Htet Aung (Yangon), Nanda Kyaw (Shan United), David Htan (Yangon), midfielders Hlaing Bo Bo (Yadanabon), Kyaw Min Oo (Yangon), Ye Yint Aung-2 (Yadanabon), Myat Kaung Khant (Shan United), Strikers Win Naing Tun (Yangon), Yan Kyaw Htwe (Ayeyawady), and reserve players goalie Pyae Phyo Thu (Yadanabon), Zin Phyo Aung (Shan United), Zwe Khant Min (Shan United), and Aesoe.
Next, the Red Myanmar Team includes head coach U Aung Kyaw Moe, goalie San Satt Naing (Yangon), defenders Naung Naung Soe (Yadanabon), Ye Yint Aung-1 (Hanthawady), Win Moe Kyaw (Hanthawady), Wai Lin Aung (ISPE), midfielders Lar Din Mawra (Hanthawady), Thet Wai Moe (Myawady), Khun Kyaw Zin Hein (Hanthawady), Zin Ko Htet (Ayeyawady), and strikers Kaung Myat Thu (Ayeyawady), Than Toe Aung (GFA), and reserve players Aung Wunna Soe (Yadanabon), Nyi Nyi Aung (Ayeyawady) and Zwe Htet Min (Shan United).
The green team and the red team will be played on 19 November at 8:00 am and the yellow team and the U-22 team will play at 4:00 pm on the same day. On 21 November at 8:00 am, the red team and the yellow team will play a friendly match and the U-22 team and the green team will face each other at 4:00 pm.
On 23 November, at 8:00 am, the red team and the U-22 team will play a friendly match and the yellow team will take on the green team at 4:00 pm.—Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
