Gem sale in local currency continues in Nay Pyi Taw

THE third day of a sale of gems and jades in the local currency continued at the Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, putting up 260 gem lots and 3,108 jade lots for sale through an open tender system.
On the third day of gem sale, 49 gem lots were reported to be sold at K362.099 million.
The gem emporium will put jade for sale through an open tender system today.
In the morning of third day, gem merchants examined the jade lots displayed at the emporium and bid price proposals for their selected lots were put into the designated tender boxes.
The emporium will also put 1,050 jade lots, nos. 1 to 1,050, on 11 June, 1,050 jade lots, nos.1, 051 to 2,100, on 12 June, and 1,008 jade lots, nos. 2,101 to 3,108, on 13 June for sale through an open tender system.
The emporium aims to provide local merchants with raw materials to made beads, and bracelets and businesspersons with income. — Aung Ye Thwin
