GFA win in crucial match for MNL relegation zone

In the 2022 season MNL title match (13), Maha United played against the GFA team at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon on 24 September, and the GFA team won by 2-1.
GFA’s hopes of getting out of the relegation zone improved with a win in an important match for the relegation zone. As the GFA team won, Maha United and GFA team were equal on nine points, and Mahar United remained in 8th place due to goal difference, but they were in a position where they could not make a mistake in the remaining games. As it was an important match for both teams, they played with a full set of core players and foreign players were also used.
In the first three minutes of the game, through Emmanuel’s assist, Saw Si Ai opened the scoring for the GFA team. After conceding the goal, Maha United tried hard to equalize GFA’s defenders and goalkeeper tried their best to block their opponent’s attack. In the 42nd minute, Maha United scored an equalizer and Soe Min Naing headed in Myo Min Phyo’s cross. In the second half, both teams tried to score a goal, and in the 72nd minute, Than Toe Aung scored the winning goal for the GFA team.
