GGP provides over US$ 1.1 million for construction of schools, bridge, health centres


Mr Tateshi Higuchi, Ambassador of Japan and chairmen of the committees from regions and states signed grant contracts for six projects on 27 January.
Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects (GGP) Scheme will provide US$ 1,115,251 to regions and states.
GGA gave US$ 271,893 to construction of Basic Education High School to admit over 1,200 students in Tonzang Township, Chin State; US$ 343,494 to construction of BEHS to give seats to 760 students in Falam, Chin State; $ 119,413 to construction of a rural health centre to provide health care services to local people in Aibur Village, Thantlang Township, China State; $ 127,142 to construction of BEPS No 2 to admit 320 students in Nyaungshwe Township, Shan State;
$ 71,617 to construction of a rural health branch to give medical treatment to the localpeople in Yaythaung Village in Sedoktara Township, Magway Region; and $ 181,692 for construction of a bridge for smooth transport of local people in Ketkyayseik Village in Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region.
