Gold sales moderately active again in Yangon gold market

There are moderate sales of gold in Yangon region’s gold market, according to the Yangon Region Gold Entrepreneurs Association (YGEA).

Although it is not like good selling days, there have been some sales, YGEA chairman U Myo Myint said.

“Gold sales recovered. It is not like good selling days but it is not slack. There are moderate sales,” he said.

Some time ago, the sales were slack and it recovered again now.

YGEA urged its members in a statement on 24 January to sell at moderate prices only for immediate payments and not to sell at higher or lower prices.

According to YGEA’s announcements at 2:30pm daily, closing price of premium gold is K3,668,400 per tical on 30 January, K3,661,200 per tical on 31 January, K3,675,600 on 1 February and K3,699,000 on 2 February.
