Government encourages athletes to improve sports skills and talent

The government is enhancing the sports sector and deservedly honouring the outstanding athletes, said Member of the State Administration Council Porel Aung Thein at a meeting with staff of Kayah State Sports and Physical Education Department in Loikaw yesterday morning.
Together with Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, the SAC member inspected the stadium, the gymnasium and stands and a 400-metre track in Loikaw and fulfilled the needs.
He enjoyed the final matches of the Kayah State Chief Minister’s Trophy U-25 men’s and women’s volleyball tournament at the Kayah State Karatedo gymnasium and presented championship trophies, individual medals and cash awards to the first prize-winning Shadaw women’s team and Demawhso men’s team respectively. — MNA/TTA
