Grade-2, Grade-3 of Accounting, Office Work Proficiency Course No 100 opened

The opening ceremony of Intermediate Level (Grade-2) and Advanced Level (Grade-3) of Accounting and Office Work Proficiency Course No 100 was held at 8:30 am on 26 May at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw, in line with COVID-19 rules and regulations.
Union Auditor-General Prof Dr Kan Zaw delivered an address that the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union has opened Accounting and Office Work Proficiency Courses with 3 levels; Basic Level (Grade-1), Intermediate Level (Grade -2) and Advanced Level (Grade-3) which are important and basic requirements for the staff of government departments and organizations to prepare the accounts with the expertise in accountancy without error in line with the rules and regulations as well as to perform the office work efficiently.
He stated that those courses have been commenced at the Yangon Training School, the former Office of the Auditor-General (Head Office) in 1960 and it had been 62 years. Course No. 82 was started at the Nay Pyi Taw Training School in 2006, and 2,478 and 1,325 certificate holders of Intermediate Level and Advanced Level had been produced to date.
At the training, 140 trainees for Intermediate Level (Grade-2) and 68 trainees for Advanced Level (Grade-3), totalling 208 trainees from Union-Level Departments/Organizations, are attending, and eight subjects such as General Commercial Knowledge, Accounting, Auditing, Costing, Financial Rules and Regulations, Service Rules and Regulations, Departmental Accounting, Public Finance, and Summarizing and Writing office letters will be delivered for three months from 26 May 2022 to 4 August 2022 during office hours.
The permanent secretary, the director-general (Audit Department), deputy permanent secretary, deputy directors general, responsible persons, the trainers and the trainees attended the ceremony. — GNLM
