The concluding event of the Eagle 19 training in progress yesterday in Thailand.

The Myanmar delegation led by Secretary of the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Chief of Myanmar Police Force Lt-Gen Ni Lin Aung attended the closing ceremony of the 5th special task force Eagle 19 training yesterday, at the invitation of Secretary-General Mr Wichai Chaimongkhon of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) of Thailand.
The training was conducted at the Counter-Terrorism Operations Centre of the Royal Thai Police from 2 to 31 July. A total of 49 trainees — 22 from Myanmar and 27 from Thailand — joined the training course. The training is aimed at boosting physical and mental resistance and skills for special tasks.
Moreover, Chief of Myanmar Police Force Lt-Gen Ni Lin Aung met the ONCB secretary-general and discussed matters related to regional drug cases, cooperation in combatting illegal precursor chemicals in the Golden Triangle, systematic destruction of seized drugs and chemicals, capacity-building training courses and enhancement of cooperation between the two countries.
The Myanmar delegation arrived back in Yangon on the same night. — MNA/KTZH
