The MoHT Union Minister holds talks with hoteliers to film and broadcast hotel and hospitality services for public awareness.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Htay Aung yesterday attended a coordination meeting with general managers from hotels in Nay Pyi Taw and officials from Elite Technology at the Sapphire Conference Hall of the Ministry.
During the meeting, the Union Minister and officials discussed the filming of the hotel services as per the COVID-19 prevention measures and broadcasting on State-owned media and social media coverage for the treatment of tourism-related businesses affected by the pandemic.
At the meeting, the Union Minister said that it was necessary for the ministries and fraternities, including the Myanmar Tourism Federation, to take measures in preventing COVID-19 disease.
“In carrying out the work, it is necessary to comply with the rules and regulations on the protection of COVID-19. Individuals in the service sector need to be aware of and monitor the disease situation and follow it precisely.
“Therefore, the hotels, which play a key role in receiving guests, are required to provide information to the public and the purpose of the film is to make the public awareness of the hotel services provided.
“The film will be broadcast on State-run media. It will be also shown at conferences and meetings.
“Therefore, all must work together to make the filming interesting and attractive to the public,” the Union Minister added.
Next, the Union Minister coordinated the necessary work as officials presented the conditions for cooperation in the filming of the hotel services in line with COVID-19 safety regulations, shooting requirements, filming duties taken by the group of hotels according to priority departments, and social media copyright and prerequisites, respectively. — MNA
