A large number of domestic visitors and tourists are booking rooms for trips during the Thingyan holidays at hotels and guesthouses of the famous Ngapali beach.
Hotels and guesthouses were full due to the unexpected influx of visitors during the last year’s Thingyan period and they stayed at the houses in Thandwe township.
The Ngapali beach is expected to be crowded with visitors during this year’s 10-day Thingyan holiday, according to hotels and guesthouses.
“At the beginning of this month, bookings for rooms in Ngapali to stay during the Thingyan period started to increase. This year, it is expected that the hotel business will be better than last year as more visitors are likely to come here on holidays. Tourism visas are also given to tourists, so there are likely to be more tourists here than last year. I would also like to advise local travellers to keep the natural environment of Ngapali beach clean,” said Rakhine State Hotel and Tourism Department Director U Tin Htut. — Nyein Thu (MNA)/MKKS
