IDPs receive first COVID jabs at five MraukU IDP camps

The first dose of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine was given to the internally displaced persons over the age of 18 living in temporary shelters of MraukU Township in MraukU District of Rakhine State at five vaccination sites yesterday.
Dr Khin Maung Than, Head of Township Public Health Department, health workers, administrators and camps’ in-charges conducted the first vaccination processes under the guidance of MraukU Township Administration Body Chairman U Soe Soe Thet.
Before the vaccination, the health workers check the body temperature, blood pressure and blood oxygen level at five vaccination sites — Naratsar camp, Koe Na Win camp, Aung Zedi camp, Dine Gyi old village and Ywar Thit camps. The officials observed the people for 30 minutes after vaccination, and also conducted education programmes for them.
A total of 171 people from five IDP camps received their Sinopharm vaccines yesterday. — Khin Maung Tun (IPRD)/GNLM
