The Myanmar Navy in Kawthoung, Taninthayi Region, seized a fishing boat on charges of illegal fishing in Myanmar’s waters on Monday evening.
The wooden fishing boat is from Longlon, Dawei District, and it was fishing sharks in the sea when it was caught by the navy.
The dried meat of sharks and eight fishermen on board were handed over to the local authorities.
