Illegal returnees held under quarantine in Kawthoung


A total of nine illegal returnees: six men, two women and one child in Kawthoung are helping under quarantine, according to the local authorities.
The Myanmar migrant workers came back home illegally from Malaysia on 22 August and they are from Mon State, Magway Region and Taninthayi Region. Currently, the illegal returnees are being kept under facility quarantine for 21 days and home quarantine for another seven days.
Officials from COVID-19 Control and Emergency Response Committee in Kawthoung are helping them with medical tests and other supplies, local authorities said.
