The opening ceremony of In-house Skill Development Training No 37 for Senior Auditors is in progress in Nay Pyi Taw on 14 July.

The opening ceremony of the In-house Skill Development Training No 37 for Senior Auditors was held at 10:30 am on 14 July at the Assembly Hall of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union, Nay Pyi Taw.
At the ceremony, Union Auditor-General Prof Dr Kan Zaw delivered an address that the training aims to enhance the capability of auditing and management and to be able to audit in line with international standards; the trainees, as members or leaders of the audit team, need to understand the organizational behaviour of auditees; maintain a good relationship between auditors and auditees, and audit in a timely manner whether the projects are implemented in line with the criteria within the specified time frame to ensure that the public fund is protected effectively and the public fully receive the benefits of social infrastructure funded by the public fund.
Also, he emphasized that trainees should try to learn and study systematically, exchange and discuss their views in a friendly atmosphere during the training, and then apply those in practical work by keeping the auditors’ ethics and goodwill for the public interests.
Afterwards, the principal of the Training School, the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union, clarified the training information.
Then, the Union Auditor-General friendly greeted the trainees and the ceremony was concluded.
During the three-week training period of 14-7-2022 to 6-8-2022, two from the Head Office and the Union Territory each and 104 from the Auditor-General’s Offices of State/Region, totalling 108, will attend the training and six subjects including ISSAI Based Financial Audit, Performance Audit, and Compliance Audit will be taught.
The permanent secretary, the director-general (Audit Department), the deputy permanent secretary, the deputy directors-general, responsible persons, trainers and trainees attended the ceremony.
Similarly, the Union Auditor-General attended and planted Cobras Saffron at the monsoon tree-planting ceremony of the Office of the Auditor-General of the Union which was held at 9 am on 14 July. During the event, the permanent secretary, the director-general (Audit Department), deputy permanent secretary, deputy directors-general, directors, deputy directors, and responsible persons planted a total of 180 saplings, including Cobras Saffron, Starflower, Royal Poinciana, Mahogany, Teak, and Ironwood.
