Indaw farmers receive agricultural supplies to mark Peasants Day.

The Department of Agriculture in Indaw Township organized an exhibition and a handover ceremony of supplies commemorating Peasants Day, which falls on 2 March, yesterday morning.
The ceremony was held with the aim to have successful crops grown on farmland of the farmers, to develop good practices of using natural fertilizers on farmland, to be able to make and use natural fertilizers by farmers, and to pass on natural fertilizer production methods, said Head of the Township Department of Agriculture U Thein Khine at the ceremony.
The deputy head of the department explained EM Bokashi composting methods, and local farmers were provided with high-quality organic chicken manure and gypsum natural rock fertilizer supplies.
