Indonesian FM presents humanitarian aid for Rakhine State

A ceremony to deliver humanitarian aid donated by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in accordance with the policy of the Union Government of Myanmar was held at the meeting hall of the Rakhine State Government yesterday morning.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno L P Marsudi explained the purpose of the humanitarian aid before she, on behalf of the Indonesian Government, and Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Win Myat Aye signed an agreement for the aid. Later, they posed for documentary photos with the guests.
The humanitarian aid included 10,000 articles of clothing, 1,500 boxes of dried noodles, 1,050 boxes of children’s nutritional supplements and 920 bags of flour.
The union minister and the Indonesian foreign minister later attended a ceremony to hand over two schools in Letmache Village and Thetkalpyin Village in Sittway donated by the PLPU, an Indonesian NGO.
Later, they visited the childcare centre founded by the ABC Foundation in Mingan Ward and presented food and cash donations for the children.
