Insurgents set fire to BEMS (Branch) in Hopin Township

The State Administration Council reopened the schools across the nation according to the COVID-19 health rules starting 1 June for continuous learning of students and the emergence of future leaders.
However, the insurgents who have directly linked with the NLD party, which wants to conduct acts of terrorism and commits various destructive actions, threatened the teachers and students, committed arson attack, bomb attack, and sent the objection letters.
The insurgents set fire to the Branch B.E.M.S in Innlay Village of Hopin Township of Kachin State on 17 June. Then, the regional military and firefighters extinguished the fire. A school building was damaged in the fire, and no one was injured. The security forces investigate to take action against the suspects. — MNA
