Inter- State/Region Taekwondo Championship 2023 concludes

The final and awarding ceremony of the Inter- States and Regions Taekwondo Championship 2023 was conducted at the Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium A in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The State Administration Council members and Union ministers enjoyed the performance of the athletes.
The final events of the championship were held and the Yangon Region team and Sagaing Region team participated in the Men’s Single (50-54) kilogrammes event, while the Yangon Region team and Mandalay Region team battled in the Women’s Single Attacking event (62-67 kg) and Rakhine State team fought against Shan State team in the Men’s Individual Attacking event of 68-74 kg.
An awarding ceremony was held after the championship and officials presented medals and cash prizes to the winners related to the various categories of the championship.
A total of 15 men’s teams and 15 women’s teams with 280 athletes participated in the Inter- States and Regions Taekwondo Championship 2023, held from 7 to 11 November. — MNA/KZL
