Irrawaddy fabricates stories: Former commander of Laukkai Regional Control Command attempted suicide at DaikU Central Prison

G1

The Irrawaddy Burmese Edition posted fake news on their Facebook page, falsely claiming that the former commander of the Laukkai Regional Control Command attempted suicide at DaikU Central Prison.
According to a prison official, the prisoner has been in good health since arriving at the prison. The prisoner is being held in accordance with the law, procedures, and rules.
He is living a healthy lifestyle, does not suffer from depression, and has no suicidal thoughts. Additionally, prison officials are ensuring that no prohibited items are present inside the prison.
Therefore, the Irrawaddy media outlet is spreading misinformation to mislead the public about the routine operation of the prison. — Ko Phyo/TKO
