In addition to locals, travellers from various parts of the country visit islands in Kawthoung during the Thingyan holidays. The Kawthoung harbour was seen busy with groups of travellers and speed boats yesterday.

According to the tour companies, the tours include day trips and overnight trips on islands, and most people usually make day trips, especially during the Thingyan holidays.
