MAJA Education Centre reported that Japan has launched the new Caregiver Scholarship Programme, which will allow candidates to work in elderly care centres.
Scholarship winners will have the opportunity to attend a language school for one year with a student visa, and then with a Tokutei Visa, they will have the chance to work in an elderly care centre in Japan for five years.
Those who are interested in the healthcare profession will have the opportunity to go to Japan to study and work at a lower cost and obtain a Tokutei visa.
In terms of qualifications, applicants must have passed the Japanese N3 level or above (JLPT, NAT-Test, Top J, J Test), must be a Myanmar national holding a degree, or have passed the Grade 12 or the first year of university, and must be between 20 and 27 years of age. Applicants must be interested in caring for the elderly and sick and be able to live and work in Japan for many years. Priority will be given to those with experience in elderly care and nursing, and they must be in good health and have passed the primary medical examination before going abroad.
