Japan supports four ADX projects in Myanmar

Four projects in Myanmar received the “Asia Digital Transformation ADX) projects” grant sponsored by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
JETRO invited applicants for the “ Asia Digital Transformation(ADX) projects” under the FY2019-2020 Supplementary Budget, and adopted 23 projects.
The following four cases were adopted from Myanmar.
In the medical and healthcare sector, Fujita Medical Instruments Co., Ltd was selected for trial and marketing of the excretion disorder rehabilitation programme.
In the agricultural sector, ARUN Seed is selected for the project for PoC (Proof of Concept) on the quality and traceability of agricultural products through an AI (Artificial intelligence) image recognition model.
In the Tourism sector, Nippon Koei Co., Ltd won the grant for Introduction of COVID-19-FREE Digital Assessment Tool for the tourism industry in Bagan.
In the Human Resource sector, STUDIST CORPORATION was selected for the demonstration project of streamlining education and training using visual-based manuals.
These programmes aim to support Japanese companies in conducting demonstration projects together with ASEAN companies to contribute to solving socio-economic challenges in ASEAN by utilizing digital technologies, said the announcement of JETRO.
Using these pilot projects as showcases, ASEAN and Japan will discuss policies on specific ways to create business-friendly environment for enhancing similar digital projects.—GNLM
