JMC-U delegation observes peace process in Nepal

A delegation from the Union-level Joint Monitoring Committee — (JMC-U), led by Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, left for Nepal yesterday to observe the peace process in the country. The delegation flew from Yangon to Bangkok, Thailand, and then flew from there to Kathmandu Airport in Nepal.
The JMC-U observation trip is arranged by the Norwegian embassy in Yangon and will be six days long.
During the six-day JMC-U observation trip, the delegation will meet with the Vice President of Nepal Mr. Nanda Kishor Pun, Nepal’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Pradeep Gyawali, other government officials, and individuals who were involved in Nepal’s peace process.
The JMC-U observation delegation consists of 15 members, including Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Vice-Chair 2 Sai Myo Thant, JMC-U members Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Ye Aung, and Rev. Saw Matthew Aye. — Nyunt Ko Ko
