A total of 44 kilogrammes of heroin, valued at K1.1 million, was seized in Pyigyidagun Township of Mandalay Region, as reported by the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, conducted a search of a Toyota Hiace driven by Zin Min Htun at the corner of 62nd Street and 138th Street in Pyigyidagun Township at 8 am on 10 January. They confiscated 44 kilogrammes of heroin, estimated at K1.1 billion, concealed in 4,400 plastic dishes.
The perpetrator confessed that the seized drugs were to be transported from Shan State to Mandalay Region.
Legal proceedings have been conducted against the offender, and an ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend others involved in the case. — MNA/MKKS
