K100B allocated for small-scale power systems in regions/states

The Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development said that K100 billion will be spend on local development activities, including small-scale power systems.
The plan will start in Nay Pyi Taw and 15 regions and states during the 2024-25 financial year. These local development projects include 40 agricultural water supply projects using solar systems, 756 rural water supply projects, 47,000 households using private solar systems, and 11 small power systems and businesses.
In addition, the plan features 197 rural production roads and 365 production bridges, 194 units of the Greening Project, 40 model villages, 60 units of rural business fund establishment, 1,671 units of village development projects, and 247 vocational trainings.
Not only the Department of Rural Development but also its related departments are working together to achieve harmony between the countryside and the city, narrow the gap between urban and rural areas, provide employment opportunities for the rural people, and develop the socio-economic life of the rural people. — TWA/KZL
