K198 million worth of heroin seized in Shan State (North)

Police seized 13.2 kilogrammes of heroin worth K198 million in Nawnghkio Township, Shan State (North).
On a tip-off, a combined team comprising members of the Anti-Drug Squad searched an Isuzu container-box truck driven by Myo Min, aged 40, from Kyaukme to Mandalay, near the Oriental tollgate on the Lashio-Mandalay Road in Nawnghkio Township, Shan State (North), and seized 13.2 kilogrammes of heroin worth K198 million.
After the interrogation of the suspect, the heroin was being carried from Shan State (North) to Mandalay Region. The police have filed a case against the suspect. The police are investigating to arrest the rest in connexion with the case, it is learnt. — MNA
