K4.21 billion worth of stimulant tablets seized in Hmawby township

K4.21 billion worth of 4.2 million stimulant tablets were seized in Hmawby township of Yangon Region, Myanmar Police Force stated.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched the house of Aung Min in Hmawby township of Yangon Region, and captured over 4.2 million stimulant tablets which were put into Thanaka boxes, snacks and dried coconut with Khin Maung Htun and Ko Ko Naing on 1 June.
According to the investigation, trafficker Aung Min is not only a fugitive from the drugs case that 147,750 stimulant tablets were captured in Maungtaw township of Rakhine State in August 2018 but also a suspect in custody of Maungtaw Myoma Police station on 16 May 2022.
The suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law and police are carrying out the investigation, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
