K440 mln worth of illegal restricted chemicals captured in Muse, Pyigyidagun townships

K440 million worth of restricted chemicals and illegal chemicals were captured in Muse and Pyigyidagun townships, Myanmar Police Force stated.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force search a warehouse in Muse township at 9:30 am on 25 July, according to information and seized a total of 14.5 tonnes of illegal chemicals — Theophylline M-hydrate — and Toyota Landcruiser car with warehouse in-charge Kyi Zin Htun.
According to the investigation, Police examined a warehouse in Pyigyidagun township of Mandalay Region and confiscated two tonnes of illegal Copper Sulfate and three tonnes of restricted chemicals — Ammonium Nitrate — with warehouse manager Wai Lin (aka) Wai Lin Htun.
The suspects are charged under the law and the Police are carrying out investigations to arrest the rest, it is learnt. — MNA
