Kachin State eyes tourism development

New business licences were approved at the first coordination meeting of the Kachin State Tourism Committee.

The Kachin State Tourism Committee announced the approval of new business licences for regional tourism development during its coordination meeting 1/2024 on 4 September.
The meeting reviewed four applications for hotel and inn licence renewals, five new hotel business licences, and three new lodging house licences, along with future plans for tourism growth.
A total of 78 guesthouse business licences and 64 tour company licences have been approved to reportedly support the region’s tourism industry.
The Kachin State chief minister stressed the importance of analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of tourist destinations to ensure high-quality services in developing new regional attractions. — TWA/MKKS
