The 68th Anniversary Celebration of Kayin State Day in progress yesterday in Hpa-an, Kayin State.

The 68th Anniversary event for Kayin State Day was convened in front of the Kayin State Government Office in Hpa-an, Kayin State yesterday.
Patrons of the ceremony first took their seats and saluted the flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the fallen martyrs and comrades.
The message to commemorate the 68th Kayin State Day sent by State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing was read by Mahn Nyein Maung, a member of the State Administration Council.
Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo also gave a speech of greeting and the opening ceremony of the portal and galleries to commemorate the 68th Kayin State Day was held, and 68 white doves of peace were released.
SAC members then viewed round the MSME booths and vegetable and fruit exhibitions and gave awards to the farmers.
They also watched the final match of the traditional boat race, and traditional dance competition, marking Kayin State Day. — MNA/KZL
