KBZ donates K10 mln, medical devices to Dala People’s Hospital

To contribute toward Myanmar’s effort to fight COVID-19, Myanmar’s largest private bank called Kanbawza (KBZ) bank on 26 October provided monetary assistance as well as the emergency medical equipment to 25-bed Dala People’s Hospital for use in the fight against COVID-19.
U Thaw Zeya, Deputy General Manager of KBZ and his staff, on behalf of the KBZ bank family, donated 50,000 masks, 200 face shields, 500 surgical caps, 3,000 gloves, 50 glasses, 50 PPE suits, 200 hand gels and K10 million to be used in the emergency in COVID-19 period. Then, U Yin Htway, the Township Administrator and Dr Tun Win from Dala Township People’s Hospital received the donations and gave the certificate of honour.
Afterwards, Dr Tun Win explained the activities being carried out in connexion with COVID-19 prevention and control and gave a thankful speech to the KBZ group. Before the outbreak of COVID-19, KBZ bank donated more than K7.8 billion for use in combatting COVID-19 starting from 26 February, said U Thaw Zeya, Deputy General Manager from the KBZ Bank.—Naing Lin Kyaw (Dala) (Translated by Hay Mar)
