On 15 September, actress Khaing Hnin Wai and donors provided cash, household items, and food to support 125 flood-stricken households in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, according to Khaing Hnin Wai.
They donated K50 million to 25 households in Laytha (South) and Laytha (North) villages, offering K2 million to each household whose home was damaged by the flood. In addition, 100 households received K10 million, with each receiving K100,000 alongside household items and food.
“I personally delivered donations to those battered by the flood, as I’ve gained the trust of the donors. I’m happy that I was able to help them. That is my first donation in Pyinmana, Nay Pyi Taw,” Khaing Hnin Wai said.
In addition, Khaing Hnin Wai and generous donors provided rescue equipment, including lifeboats, life jackets, and lifebuoys, to organizations involved in search and rescue operations. Clothes and foodstuffs were also donated to relief camps.
The Khaing Hnin Wai Foundation, in collaboration with Felicity Solar Myanmar Family and other donors, continues to extend relief supplies to flooded areas. They had previously donated oxygen and medicines during the COVID-19 pandemic. The foundation also runs a children’s centre, currently caring for more than 120 children, including ten orphaned twins. — ASH/TRKM
