Khant Sithu donates K300,000 to 104th Myanmar Film Day and 47th film elders’ honour ceremony

According to U Aye Kyu Lay, Vice-Chairman of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (MMPO), Academy Award winner Khant Sithu donated K300,000 on 3 September towards the 104th Myanmar Film Day ceremony and the 47th film elders’ honour ceremony, both of which are scheduled for 13 October.
The ceremonies will take place on 13 October 2024 at the Myanmar Film Association (Central) in Bahan Township, Yangon Region.
“The obeisance-paying to film elders’ event is approaching, and several artistes and film makers are participating and making donations. In addition to the contributions from film artists, movie lovers are also volunteering and donating. We have received traditional medicines and food items for the donations,” said U Aye Kyu Lay.
At the 103rd Myanmar Film Day ceremony and the 46th obeisance-paying to film elders’ ceremony, held on 13 October 2023, around 140 veteran actors and actresses were honoured with cash and foodstuffs. — ASH/TKO
