Khit Thit media spread fake news regarding cash donations, entrance fees of Shwedagon, Botahtaung pagodas

The Khit Thit media has spread fake news on social media that the pagoda boards of trustees said the cash donation and entrance fees (dollars deposited at banks) received from Shwedagon pagoda and Botahtaung pagoda are seized and exchanged into Myanmar Kyats at K2,100 per dollar.
An official of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture claimed that the malicious media, Khit Thit Media, spread false information regarding the pagodas.
The malicious media intentionally spread fake news and misinformation to destroy the State’s stability and cause misconception. — MNA/KTZH
