King’s Day (Koningsdag) is the national holiday celebration of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and it was celebrated at Hotel M Gallery by Sofitel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.
The celebration began with the playing of the anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Mr. Wouter Robert Marie Jurgen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung delivered the opening speeches.
Present at the event were Union Minister U Thant Sin Maung and wife, Union Minister for Construction U Han Zaw and wife, Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun and wife, officials from foreign embassies in Myanmar and invited guests.
