Korea-based Kookmin Bank and BOC’s partner, SK Energy and Sk Traiding International donated COVID-19 test kits, and viral transport medium (VTM) to the Ministry of Health and Sports at the head office of the Department of Medical Research on Ziwaka Road, Dagon Township in Yangon yesterday.
At the donation ceremony, Korean Ambassador Mr Lee Sang-hwa and Director-General of the Department of Medical Research Prof. Dr Zaw Than Htun made remarks.
Officials from Kookmin Bank and BOC’s partner, and SK Energy and Sk Traiding International explained the purpose of the donation.
Director-General Dr Zaw Than Htun accepted the test kits and VTMs handed over by the officials from Kookmin Bank and BOC’s partner, and SK Energy and Sk Traiding International. They then returned certificates of honour to the donors.
Kookmin Bank donated US$ 100,000 worth of 3,000 test kits and 3,000 viral transport medium (VTM), and SK Energy and Sk Trading International contributed $ 48,000 worth of 4,000 COVID-19 test kits to the ministry. —Min Thit (MNA) (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
