Kyel Gyi to face Min Htet Aung in final of Shwe Aung Lan Traditional Boxing Tourney

The second day of the quarter-finals of the Shwe Aung Lan Myanmar Traditional Boxing Tournament was held on 26 June. The tourney will feature 26 bouts, including two challenging fights.
Saw Ba Hein (Cement Factory) and Chit Win Wyne (Zarni Thway) competed in the 60-kilo quarter finals as the opening match of the second day of “SKYNET Shwe Aung Lan” Myanmar Traditional Boxing Tournament.
The two men fought hard and did not lose until the fifth round, so in the judges’ decision, all three judges declared Saw Ba Hein as a winner, who had advantages throughout the fight.
Min Kyaw Za (Zwekabin Land) and Lin Htet Aung (Taunggale) competed in the 60-kilo quarter-finals and all three judges decided Min Kyaw Za as a winner as both fighters did not lose or win until the 5th round.
In the 63.5-kilo quarter-final match between Saw Daweik (Taunggale) and Emwe (Dragon King), Saw Dawweik could not continue the fight after the first round and Emwe won and advanced to the semi-finals.
In the 63.5-kilo quarterfinals, Salai Chan Myae Ko (Aeknyaw) fought against Thet Win Aung (Shwe Thaton), and Thet Win Aung advanced to the semi-finals.
In the 67-kilo quarterfinals, Man Min Aung (Cement Factory) and Min Htoo Htoo (Taunggale) fought and Man Min Aung won the second round by 30 seconds.
In the 67-kilo quarter-final match, Saw Tun Win Aung (Aung Naing Thu) fought against Kabar Shah (AMT 2) but there was no knock out until the fifth rounds and all three judges declared Kabar Shah as a winner by points.
In the 70-71 kilo semi-final match, Saw Min Aung (Taunggale) met Kyel Gyi (G3G) and all three judges declared Kyel Gyi as a winner by points.
The semi-finals will be held on 3 July and the final will be held on 10 July. Kyel Gyi will take on Min Htet Aung in the final match.—TWA/GNLM
